From beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia (Canada), I am a Certified Coach Practitioner, practicing as a Youth Life & Mental Health Coach, with a focus on working with teens and young adults to master their minds and reach their full potential. In addition to being a Youth Life & Mental Health Coach, I have a certificate in The Science of Well-Being from Yale University, as well as a certificate in Positive Psychiatry and Mental Health from The University of Sydney.

That’s who I am on paper, but I am also:

  • a mother of three wonderful kids (12, 15, and 22) who teach me a ton and keep me on my toes;
  • a wife to an amazing husband who supports my dreams and travel habits;
  • an author of eight young adult fiction novels (a few of which have made the bestsellers list!); and
  • a non-practicing paralegal with ten years’ experience, which has given me a passion for helping misguided youth navigate the legal system while finding new meaning and direction in life.

A few years ago, after realizing the desperate need for more mental health support, I decided to become a part of the solution instead of complaining about the problem. I began taking courses on mental illnesses, preventions, and treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Upon receiving my designation as a Certified Coach Practitioner, I began helping youth put together their lives, set goals, and work on their mental health in the process. I found my passion, which led me to my purpose, and I am committed to providing affordable mental health care and support for youth here and around the world.

Find your passion so you can find your purpose.
